Many competitive domain name registrars are using greedy marketing tactics to trick you into transferring your domain name. More domain registrars are resorting to the practice of sending notices by postal mail that look confusingly like an official Canadian renewal notice or invoice that could be coming from your existing registrar. Every time you register a domain name, your name, address, and phone number are entered into a public database that can be viewed and used by anyone.
